Inspection Exam Study Planner: Objectives, Practice, and Fresh Evidence

An original four-phase planning worksheet for inspection exam candidates. Schedule by objective and actual availability, not assumed course seat time or pass predictions.

Free. No account or email gate. Original preparation aid, not credential or project approval.

Establish the constraints first

Record the actual exam window, official outline, references, available sessions, and hands-on needs. For ACI, written and apparatus work need separate time. Do not schedule a test based only on a third-party course completion date.

  • Official outline and version
  • Available study sessions per week
  • Required reference and equipment access
  • Appointment and application constraints

Use four phases, not a universal four-week promise

Phase 1 maps objectives and baseline gaps. Phase 2 teaches and practices weak objectives. Phase 3 combines application and reference retrieval. Phase 4 uses fresh assessment evidence and repairs remaining gaps. Each phase may take multiple weeks.

  • Map and diagnose
  • Learn and practice weak objectives
  • Mix application and retrieval
  • Use fresh evidence and repair

Review the plan every week

Carry forward unfinished objectives explicitly. Repeated-question recognition is not new readiness evidence. Record practical sessions and weak areas rather than converting a practice percentage into a pass probability.

  • Completed objective and evidence
  • Remaining misconception
  • Next independent task
  • Revised date and reason

Worked fictional example

A bounded weekly plan

You have three one-hour study sessions and one arranged practical session this week.

Reveal the model response

Session 1: one weak objective and source check. Session 2: retrieval and a different application. Session 3: mixed review and error log. Practical session: observed apparatus work with omissions recorded. Carry unresolved objectives into next week.

This illustrates allocation only. It does not predict the time a particular learner needs or guarantee exam readiness.
